Build A Sustainable Energy Future
With Your Purchase of BEF Carbon Offsets
A carbon footprint is a measure of impact that your day to day activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases they produce. Although there are many things we can do personally to reduce our carbon emissions and the negative impact we have on the environment, each of us in our normal everyday lives still contribute to the greenhouse gas emissions that are causing climate change.
The City of Ashland wants to provide our customers the option of promoting future renewable energy development. That's why we are proud to partner with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF). BEF is a non-profit organization dedicated to renewable energy development and watershed restoration. BEF sells carbon offsets that represent the environmental benefits of renewable power such as wind and solar. They directly further the development of new renewable energy projects offering one of the most effective ways to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and hydropower. A BEF Carbon Offsets approximately 1,500 pounds of CO2 and supports the production of electricity from clean and sustainable renewable power from solar and wind power projects across North America.
Please join The City of Ashland to help reduce our carbon footprint with your purchase of BEF Carbon Offsets.
