Based on calculations from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, the correspondents' association will purchase 62 metric tons of offsets from the Tatanka Wind Farm on the border of North Dakota and South Dakota.May 26, 2010 - The White House Correspondents' Dinner, an annual black-tie festival of schmoozing, preening and source-greasing, is taking steps this year to reduce its carbon footprint. From decorations to menu choices to recommended modes of transport, the association is trying to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions generated by its 2,600 revelers.
