Job Title:             Sales and Procurement Coordinator            
Reports to:          Vice President, Green Tags

SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting both sales and procurement activities with BEF’s offset sales program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Field and assess incoming sales and procurement inquiries via phone or Web, and assign to appropriate BEF staff.
  • Answer basic sales and procurement inquiries.
  • Manage data entry for sales and procurement teams.
  • Assist in development and preparation of action plans and schedules related to sales and procurement activities.
  • Identify and track new carbon offset procurement prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Identify and track carbon offset sales competitors.
  • Maintain list of national regulations of carbon offsets and renewable energy related to procurement and sales activities.
  • Assist in follow up for new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Assist in preparation of sales and procurement presentations, proposals and contracts.
  • Collaborate with BEF marketing staff to develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Manage BEF’s inventory of sales-related print and event materials.
  • Assist in preparation of procurement and sales status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Assist in coordinating company staff (such as marketing, procurement, and admin) to accomplish the work required to close sales.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in events such as seminars, trade shows, and client-driven outreach opportunities as needed.
  • Assist in tracking and follow-up on estimate purchases, true-ups and collection of payment.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic computer skills required, Mac and MS Office proficient.
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive image of BEF to the public.
  • Work may require occasional travel to support event activities.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires occasional overnight travel and occasional weekend and/or evening work.
